Convert an Inventor file to STEP without Inventor

A customer sends you a part as .ipt, Autodesk Inventor’s closed format, without the matching STEP? Without Inventor, there is no way to open the 3D model to quote, program or inspect. This tool converts the .ipt to a STEP readable by every CAD and CAM package (SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion, FreeCAD…), right in the browser. The engine builds on the open-source software FreeCAD and InventorLoader.

Your files are never stored

The file is converted in memory on our servers in Montreal, then forgotten: nothing is stored, nothing is shared, nothing is used to train an AI. A part drawing is a confidential document — it does not belong on a public forum, nor in the hands of a stranger offering to convert it.

Always verify the converted geometry

A conversion between 3D formats is never guaranteed: check the critical dimensions of the produced STEP against the original file before any manufacturing.
